PreSwing gives you a coach's voice at the moment you need it. You build a PreSwing routine for each part of your game, then hear it hands free on your iPhone or Apple Watch right before you hit. You also get GPS distances, scoring, shot tracking, and AI notes on holes you have played before.
PreSwing uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate password to create or remember. You can add a few optional profile details later, but nothing beyondyour Apple sign in is required to start.
iPhone on iOS 18.6 or later, and Apple Watch on watchOS 11.6 or later. The Watch app requires an iPhone. Android is not supported.
Skills are the categories your game lives in: putting, driver, irons, wedges,
chipping, bunkers, trouble shots, and more. Each Skill holds your tips in the
order you choose, and the order matters, because that is the order you hear
them.
Every Skill also carries recordings from our pro voices, so you can hear how
Smylie Kaufman, Justin Klemballa, Edie Wessel, or Bill Dodd Jr. approaches that
part of the game. Your coach can record their own version for each Skill, and
so can you.
A Skill is also where you keep your notes, audio recordings, and video for that
part of your game, all in one place.

Yes. You can type a tip and have it read back in the PreSwing voice, or record it in your own voice. You can also record your coach so you hear the exact words from your last lesson.
No. You choose your voice when you start a round, and the audio for that voice is loaded onto your devices at that moment so it plays instantly and works without a signal. To use a different voice, finish the round and start a new one.
Yes, with a subscription. Each Skill holds up to eight video clips, so you can keep your swing next to your swing thoughts. Clips over 100MB will not sync to our servers, so keep them short.
You can also link to video hosted elsewhere, and there is no limit on links. If your coach sends you a video or you find a drill you want to keep, add the link to the Skill and it is there when you need it.
Outside a round, open Skills on the Watch, drill into any Skill, see your tips in your order, and play the audio to hear your top five.
During a round, the Watch shows GPS distances (front, to hole, back) and plays the voice you selected at the start of the round. That may be your top five tips read aloud, or a pro voice, your own voice, or your coach.
You can also record an audio note on the Watch and send it to your iPhone. The Watch needs an iPhone, and Play on the Watch requires a subscription.
Yes, and this is the fastest way to use PreSwing without touching anything. Start with "Hey Siri," and Siri answers out loud without opening the app.
During a round on your iPhone:
- "Hey Siri, PreSwing, Distance" for middle, front, and back yardages
- "Hey Siri, PreSwing, next hole" to move ahead a hole and hear the number,
yardage, and par
- "Hey Siri, PreSwing, previous hole" to go back
- "Hey Siri, PreSwing, current hole" to hear where you are without changing

On your Apple Watch during a round:
- "Hey Siri, PreSwing, Distance" or "Hey Siri, PreSwing, How far"
You can also say "Hey Siri, PreSwing, Skills" any time, and Siri will ask which Skill you want tips for.
Siri commands during a round require a subscription.
Tap TRACK when you are over the ball, hit your shot, then tap STOP when you reach it. PreSwing measures the distance and you tag the club you used. If you forget to start tracking, press and hold and it will track from the tee box. Your shots are saved to the hole, and they feed the AI notes so the advice knows how you actually played it. Shot tracking requires a subscription.
Through whatever your iPhone is already using. Phone speaker, AirPods, headphones, car or cart Bluetooth. PreSwing follows your system default, so it works the same way any other audio on your phone does.
You need a connection when you start a round so the app can load the course and your audio. After that, distances, scoring, and audio tips work without a signal. If you go offline mid round, the satellite map is replaced with a simplified hole view. AI hole notes always need a connection.
More than 45,000 courses worldwide. PreSwing is sold on the US and Canada App Store to start, but the app works anywhere you play. If your course is not listed, email the course name and location to support@preswinggolf.com and we will submit it to our course data provider.
Distances are accurate to roughly four yards, using your iPhone or Apple Watch location. There is no manual calibration.

Every round you play is saved. With a subscription you can open any round in detail: hole by hole scoring, putts, fairways, greens in regulation, and every tracked shot. You can also generate a PDF of any round and share it however you like, including email, text, print, or save it to your files. Handy for sending to your coach before a lesson.
Add a note on any hole, typed or spoken, and PreSwing looks at your last ten times playing that hole, including the one in progress, along with your scores and any shots you tracked, and gives you a short read on what has worked and what to change. You can pull it up at any point during the round or after. Notes are specific to the hole you are on.
PreSwing is free to download and use. The free version includes GPS distances, scoring, and audio tips from three Skills.
A subscription unlocks everything else: the full Skill library, creating and editing your own Skills and tips, shot tracking, round detail, the pro voices, AI hole notes, video, and Play on the Apple Watch.
New players get a seven day free trial of everything. After that it is $15 per month or $90 per year.
Billing runs through your Apple ID, so cancel any time in your iPhone Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel before the seven day trial ends and you are not charged.
Codes come from partner courses, tournaments, and instructors, and each one comes with a link. Open the link on your iPhone and the code is applied through the App Store. Codes cannot be entered inside the app.
Your account is created through Sign in with Apple, and profile details like date of birth and gender are optional. During a round we record GPS coordinates for your shots and the hole location so we can calculate distances and build your play history. That data is tied to your account and stored on our servers. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Settings, then Profile, then Delete Account. This removes your play history, shot data, notes, and recordings from your device and our servers.
